This book was written for business people. That category is broad on purpose.

Specifically, it was written for:

If you are trying to build things, lead teams, serve customers, or create value — this book is for you.

What you do NOT need

The technical details in this book are explained in plain language before they are explained in technical terms. If a technical term appears, it is defined the first time you see it.

What mindset IS required

You need to be willing to do the exercises. Every chapter ends with one. They are not optional enrichment — they are the course. Reading about AI without using it is like reading about swimming. The concepts make sense, but you still can’t swim.

You need to be comfortable with partial understanding. AI systems are probabilistic and sometimes counterintuitive. The goal is not to understand everything perfectly before you act. The goal is to act, observe, and refine.

You need a builder’s orientation — the instinct to ask “what could I make with this?” rather than “what does this do?” Those are different questions and they lead to very different outcomes.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.
